Re: Lets start using this forum again!

I'd love it if there forum were to be revived, since I try to avoid using facebook as much as possible.

Choosing a custom user name would be cool. Even it was firstname and lastname.

Re: PR3 final assignment

NOTE: In Visual Studio 2013 are C++11 features that are not supported in VS2012.

Just in case someone used those and didn't test it in VS2012 before handing it in.

Re: PR3 final assignment

btw, are we allowed to change the formation of the tanks? because when I spawn like 65536 tanks for P1,most of them are all the way down, outside of the screen. But if I spawn them to left of the screen, they will eventually all reach the screen (if it's not filled with tanks already). It also look ...

Re: Morton Curve pixel buffer PR3

So I have played around with the morton curve. I found a way to convert the swizzled frame buffer back to the original image. I am doing this with a simple for loop, which takes around 2.7 million cycles I don't know if there is a faster way. The problem I have right now is that I don't know how to ...

Re: PR3 final assignment

You should take a look at how the frames are positioned and then think about how sequential the data is.

EDIT: The cycle count you are getting for copying that data is pretty normal.

Morton Curve pixel buffer PR3

I have been trying to optimize the data layout of the pixel buffer using the morton curve, but I have a few questions on how to draw the correct image on the screen. I know that the template copies the pixel buffer to the GPU every frame. Is there a way to let openGL convert the image to a normal im...

Re: PR3 final assignment

Has anyone figured out a way to improve the Sprite::Draw function yet? And the background drawing? I can't seem to find any improvements in those (Without SIMD and multithreading) Well for starters, in the Sprite::Draw function is an if condition in a loop that doesn't has to be in that loop. For t...
